Thursdav the 22n. Two programs weiv rendered bv the school; one at 1 o'clock and the other a 7 o'clock v. 111. A larjre rowd was in attendance and good order pivj'ailed. Prof. P. It. Dougherty was on hand and made a fine speech on education al lines. At the close oftheaffer- noon program, the teacher. M. II. Norris. who has taught thoie tor the last two years, stated that the house is too small to mi'et the needs of the school, and made an appeal to the patrons to build an addition to it. The appeal was taken up by Mr. W. N. Howell and others, and steps were taken to do this much need ed, work. Messrs.
