There is no more cheerful theme and all of us may be pardoned if e seem unduly joy ious over the .No less authority tnan uun s Heview says that conditions tlirougliout tne country werema, terially better last week than at any time since tne upgiuiuuic i the European war. In discuss- ing the feature oi lust week's bus iness the Ileviewsays: That there is improvement in trade is made clear in the reports from all parts of the country. Holiday buying is developing very well, and the colder weather has stimulated retail dirtribution and also helped some wholesale departments. Iron and steel i consumption is increasing and tin plate are reported and the railroads are contracting for lim ited quantities of rails and other supplies. In the dry goods mar ket here is visable an improved demand, buying of spring mer chandise becoming more notice able. The woolen division is kept reasoably active by the Europe an requirements. It is announc ed this week that the London Em bargo on wool is to be raised on 'uarantees that no shipment to hostile countries will be made. The shoe and leather industry re ports a broader domestic demand in addition to the large foreign orders. The prevailing optomism is strengthened by easier money and the notable improvement in the' financial" position; also by the fact that the corner has been turned and the trend is now to ward better conditions. The most important development of the week is the resumption trading in stooks, under certain restric tions, on the New York Exchange and this marks a practically com plete return to normal conditions so far as the machinery of the fi nancial market is concerned. Bus iness can now be carried on in the regular way without the necessi tv of extraordinary expedients, and with the added security and advantage of the vastly increas ed credit facilities which the Fed eral Reserve Bank system af fards. Dunn's Review never 'whoops her up" without acause. This is as near a reflection of ac tual conditions as it is possible to get, and it shows that the ten dency is very marked toward un usual activity. It looks as if bus iness has already improved to the point where it can '"sit up and take a little solid food." . Distress in tiii: Stomach. There are many peoitle who have a distress in the stomach nfter meals. It is due to indiges tion and easily remedied by ta king one of Chamberlain fl tab lets Hfter meals. Mrs. Henry Padghaii, Victor, N. 1.. writes: For some lime I was troubled with headache and distress in ray stomach after eating, also with constipation. A'umtsix months ago I began to take Chamber lain's Tablets. 1 hey reguiaiHi the action of my bowels and the headache and other nnnovances ceasei! in a short time." Obtain able everywhere.
