m FEBRUARY 23, 1333 State Loses Skirmish With Gasoline Concerns (Special to the Democrat.) .Ralc^i1; M". C., Feb. 21.?North} Carolina lost another round to half a dozen or more large gasoline distributing companies, Standard, Gulf, Texas, Sinclair, Shell and others, in the action brought by Attorney General Dennis G. Bruramilt charging violation of the State anti-tru3t laws and price-fixing regulations, in the contracts they make with the filling station operators. Mr. Brummitt held Hearings a year or more ago of the companies. The gasoline companies demurred, which is to say, they admitted all Mr. Brummitt charged, but denied I that such was violating the law. The demurrers were sustained, and Mr. Brummitt offered new evidence, fudge Crarr.or last week held that Q the briefs ofTered ccntuined no new evidence a"d dismissed the action. The next step is all appeal to the State Supreme Court from Judge Cramer's ruling sustaining the demurrer. JIGSAW PUZZLE?A tantalizing fascinating Jigsaw Puzzle for the whole family to solve.
