Mr. John Adams, of Johnson Cit; Tenn., is visiting his neicc, Mrs. Job I^owis in Pcrkinsvillc, and other rela tives in the county. Eskew, of Blowin Reek, left Sunday morning for Lex ington, Ky., where she will join he husband for a six-weeks course at th Kentucky State Teachers College. Mr. J. B. Mrs. Paul Coffey Honors Bride-Elect With Shotvcr. One of the most elaborate socie events of the summer season oceurre last Tuesday evening, when Mrs. Pat Coffey entertained the members u the Maids and Matrons Club and sev eral additional guests, honoring Mis Louise Coffey whose marriage to Mi William Black of Staunttm, Va., wl take place August 15th. After the guests arrived little Mis Elizabeth Pendergrass of Gainesvilh Ga., entered, dressed in a lovely coi tume, and gave a dance and soBg fo "Louise." At this juncture Mastc Ft. Z. Linney entered with' a sma red wagon which proved to bo fille with kitchen utensils for the hot oree, gifts from those present. The spacious rooms were throw en suite and beautifully decorate with Queen Anne's lace of differer shades and other summer flower making a most attractive setting fc four tables of bridge. Mrs. Baxtc Linney was winner of high score, an Miss Louise Criteher was winner c second high. Both ladies were pre served attractive gifts, which the} hi' turn, gave to Miss Coffey. Mrs. Coffey was assisted by Mr: Baxter Linney and Mrs. R. Z. Linne in serving a delicious salad cou.s with iced tea to the following guest; Mesdames David Greene, Jim River: A. R. Jan Eliason, Gladys Bolt, Erie Greer an Louise Criccher. Livingston Club Meets With Mrs. Brantley Duncan. The Livingston Club met on Moi day night, July 10th, with Mr Brantley Duncan.
