Stony Fork got too much corn "Uck| er" aboard, fell from his horse, lost his mail in tr.e darkness and reached j his home afoot at daybreak the next morning*. Search was made for the I mail and it was found that the trusty I old horse had guarded it all nignt. I From this it appears that, the horse j was more to be relief upon than his rider. The mail, when opened, was ! found to be in good condition, as far I as the postmaster here was able to see. North Wiikesboro is to have a S100.000 tannery. TRACY NEWS Rev. A. G. Lackey filled his regular appointment at Thomas Chapel Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Wilson and family of Trade were week-end guests of 1 Mrs. Wilson's parents. "HERE COMES THREE KNIGHTS" a comedy play, will be presented by members of the Junior j | class ci the Cove Creek High School j Friday evening, December 14. at 7:30 j o'clock. The proceeds will be used to provide materials with which to complete a library and reading room in the basement of the high school building.
