West, Jr., are now at home on Koute 3, KlVenshurg, 'Wash., following tbeir wedding trip to Canada. The Wide is the former Jacquelene de Jong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abram C. de Jong of Ellens burg, and the feroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. West Sr., also of that city, formerly of Boone. i The couple repeated their mar triage vows in a simple but im pressive double 1 inn ceremony read by the Rev. Paul Doan Hill >n the study of the First Christuin Church at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, May 31. Bouquets of pink roses ?uid pink carnations formed the act-orations for the rites. Mem bers of the immediate families and a few close friends witnessed the ceremony. For the wedding the bride chose a white street dress with an embroidered silk border and at)d had a red rose corsage. Her only attendent was a close friends and school mate. Miss Romonu Doak, who wore an aqua dress and a talisman rose corsage. Edwin West, brother of the groom, acted as best man. A small reception followed the wedding ceremony, given in the home of the brides parents for the families and friends. The bride has lived in Ellenj burg all her life and was a graduate from Ellensburg high school with the class of 1947. Mr. West moved to Ellensburg in 1943, enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and returned to Ellens burg in 1946. He was graduated from Appalachian high school in Boone in 1943. He is now em ployed by Jones Construction Company. Baird- Farthing Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Baird of Sugar Grove, announce the mar riage of their daughter, Martha Marie, to Harold G. Farthing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Farthing of Sugar Grove. The wedding took place at the hcWne of the Rev. W. D. Ashley at Blowing Rock on June 5. - The brifle wore a grey suit with white and black accessories and a shoulder corsage of red roses. There were no attendants. Ford- Baird Marrutl at the office of Edw. N: Hahn Saturday evening. June 2X. Charson Ford of Blowing ?Rock, to Claude Dixon Baird. The ?brtrd' is the daughter of Mrs. lehn Ford and the late Mr. Ford of Blowing Rock, while the ({room is the son of Mrs. Baird and the late John Baird of Blow ing Rock. The ceremony was performed by Magistrate Hahn. Worthwhile Club To M?et With Mrs. Crawford The Worthwhile Club will meet on the lawn of the home of Mrs. Jbe Crawford at 7 o'clock Thurs day for refreshments. From there the club members will be con ducted on a tour of homes for the purpose of studying interior decorating, ending at the home of Mrs. R. L.
