The meet ing was supposed to have been on Tuesday evening, November 2. Why was the meeting put off until Wednesday? Polities before Lionism, my friend, Politics be fore Lion ism! After having enjoyed a delici ous meal. Lion President Agle turned the meeting over to the program chairman, Lion Leo Pritchett, who in turn presented Lions R. D. Hodges, Jr. and Joe Con. the Tailwisters, who had charge of the program. I All Lions had been specifically Inotified on two occassions to wear bow ties for this meeting. However, some were absent minded (among whom were teachers such as Lions Edwin Dougherty and Herb Wey), and forgot to wear their bows. In a most gentle way, the Tailwisters reminded them they had forgot ten. This reminder took the form of the Tailtwisters gently and gracefully cutting the ties from the absent-minded Lions necks with a pair of scissors, and re placing them with bows, made from the dime store ribbon. I Everybody was having a hilari ous good time, and everything seemed to be going well, until, for no provacation at all except not wearing a bow tie, Tailtwist er Conn cut this beautiful red tie from Lion Kelly's neck re marking at the time how he hat ed to runin such a beautiful tie, for he had one just like it. In his turn, Tailtwister Hodges did likewise to Lion Guy Hunt, After this little ceremonial had taken place Lions Hunt and Kelly Informed the Tailtwisters I that they had just finished giv ing their own neckties a trim miLU>n Tailtwister Cqpn then presented Mr. Fowler, sionally known as Singing i !?to the club, who very humorously entertained wUh singing, banjo playing and an pressions. The entire program was one of the most enjoyable that we have had. _ I Before adjourning the meeting. Lion President Agle reminded us that real Lionism means acti-] vity. and suggested that each Lion take as active a part m the work of the club as his ability, and time would permit.
