Apple Butter Bread 1 2-3 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1-2 teaspoon salt . 1-2 cup seedless raisins 1 1-2 cups apple butter 1 cup bran 1-2 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1-4 cup shortening 2 tablespoons sugar 1-4 cup light corn syrup 1 egg Sift flour, measure, add bak ing powder, salt and soda. Sift again. Add raisins, mix well. Combine apple butter, bran and lemon juice. Let stand 5 minutes. Cream shortening, gradually add! sugar and corn syrup. Beat until fluffy. Add egg, beat well. Stir in apple butter mixture. Add flour mixture. Mix oaly until flour is moistened. Bake in a greased loaf pan in an oven 325 degrees for 1 1-4 hours. Remove from pan and cool.
