Hugh Kincaid, pastor of Ferkinsville Baptist Church for ! the put five years. tendered his resignation te the Perfcinsville congregation Sunday night, in or der to accept a call to Croas Me morial Baptist Church near Mor ganton on the Shelby highway. Rev. Mr. Kincai^s pastorate | here has been marked with much progress. A new church and 1 Sunday School building has Iqyen completed and is valued at $29. 000. From the 43 church mem- - bers on the books when he rame to the church the congregation has grown to 184 memgers. The Sunday School now has an ap proximate enrollment of 200. with average attendance of 195 stu dents. The church has carried the full Missionary Baptist pro gram all during his tenure. Hunter Is Rotary Guest The Boone Rotary Club held its regular meeting on Thursday, August 7, at the Skyline Restaur ant with James T. Thompson presiding. Program Chainnan Alfred Adams presented Kermit Hunter, author of the well-known out door drama "Horn in the West," "Unto These Hills," and "Forever i This Land." as the speaker. In an informal talk to the group Mr. Hunter told some of the. interest ing and humurous incidents that have happened relative to put ting on the three dramas and I then proceeded to explain the i outdoor drama by comparing it j to the legitimate stage and the j motion pictures.
