DIAL AMherst 4-S77S Arthur Smith Talent Show TB Be Staged Here Arthur Smith and the Cracker Jaclu, who are featured on four different television shows week ly on WBTV, Channel J, Char lotte; will screen local talent here on April }0 at Appalachian High School^n their gigantic new 'Television Talent Hunt" stage show. The winner will appear on WBTV on Arthur Smith's Tues day or Wednesday night program. Sponsoring the "Television Tal ent Hunt" locally will be the Rotary Club. The big show will begin a 8:00 p. m. The talent to be judged will be both amateur and professional and entry blanks can be obtained by contacting any member of the local sponsoring organization. The top 10 acts will appear on the stage and the popularity winner will be judged by audience ap plause. The grand wiiiner to be selected by competent member of the show to appear on Arthur's TV program the following week in Charlotte. "We know that Arthur Smith's Television Talent Hunt Show," said Stacy Eggers, Jr. of the Ro tary club, "will be one of the en tertainment highlights of the year and we expect a tremendous crowd will be out to applaud for our hometown talent.
