Roger Collins of Sparta waa awarded reserve champion honors. In the auction sale that followed the show, Mr. Conklin's grand champion commanded 40 cents par pound and the reserve champion was bid off at M cants a pound. Aasiating with the show ware W. C. Richardson, assistant county agent of Watauga; Eugene Gray, assistant agent for Ashe; John Cooper, Alleghany assistant agent; and San; Buchanan, state extension livestock specialist. ^ Assisting the 4-H and PPA boys and girls of Watauga prepare for the show were R. G. Shipley, vo cational agriculture teacher at Cove Creek, and Mr. Richardson. The show Is sponsored annually by the State Extension Service, business and professional men of the three counties, and the Ameri can Hampshire Sheep Association.
