Of ceuraa, this is mainly due lo the prosperity found in this country, but the good seme and good taste of American women hove had a hand in making thia true. Women in this country, on the whole, want their dollar's worth. Because of thia, there are good looking, well-made clothes available in sinjoet all price groaps. Coots, dreoees, shoes, lingerie and accessories that are sound fashion and sound investments are seen in stores all over the country. We are leas prone to wear a design that is a fad or "la stlye" at the moment than the women of other countries. Right after the aecond World War, we went overboard for thfe new look. The exaggerated length of skirts was accepted. Looking back, the reason for this seems to be that women were so tired of the unattractive short skirts made necessary Ijy the shortage of material, they were happy for a complete change. They got It! However, since that time women have stayed on an even keel. Fashion magazines are a big help. They inform women living in small, rural towns of the latest thing to be found in the Urge metropolitan cities. Appalachian Hi School! * of I Mrs E. H.
