Dr. Frank T. deVyver, bead of
the department of economics at
Duke and director of undergraduate
studies, will represent the
alumni office. Dr. deCyver, a native
of Mount Vernon, New York,
with scholastic training at Oberlin
and Princeton, came to Duke in
1935. He is the author of several
books and articles on labor and
industrial matters. He is a member
oi American Economic Association,
Southern Economic Association,
Industrial Relations Research
Association, 0. D. K„ and
Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. deVyver has an outstanding
reputation as a student of industrial
conditions and has spent
considerable time visiting industrial
plants through the South. He
recently returned from Australia,
where he received a Fulbright
Grant to lecture.
