Fur Fashion Notes
It would seem that the differ
ence between fur and fabric has
been reduced to its narrowest
point in the newest fall and win
ter fur designs. In fact, we find
that furs do almost everything
fabric can and often do it much
better.
Waistlines are lowered and arm
holes have been dropped. You will
find such points as fine pleating,
shirring and fur-on-fur combina
tions in an endless series of ex
citing silhouettes.
Stoles, for several years now,
have been the favorite of Ameri
cans. However, they are fast be
coming replaced with little carved
jackets ? shaped something like a
half-moon. Not much bigger than
boleros, many feature self or con
trasting fur insets.
Chinchilla, lavish mink, and
Russian broadtail are the most
popular furs with women who can
afford them. Somali leopard is on
other favorite for more casual
items.
