Fairy Tale Ballet A Part Of Young Dancers' Program Boone's young dancers, under the direction of Mrs. Nancy F. Cook, will present a varied pro gram which includes a one-act (airy tale ballet, on Friday, May 1#. M] Following a brief first scene of divertissements, featuring the younger student* and tap, acroba tic, and classic ballet numbers, the colorful ballet of "La Bouti que Fantasque" will be presented. This is the story of an enchanted toyshop for which the original University. Women Meet The local unit of the American Association of University Women held its April meeting at the Col lege Library, with Hrs. John Van Noppen presiding. The program consisted of quest ions about Africa that members would like to have discussed on future programs. Mrs. Foster Park gave a brief report on the current situation in Cuba. She was elected vice-president and Hrs. Edward Gibson was elected treasurer for the coming year. Other officers were elected for two year terms. Delegates to the State conven tion on April 27, 28 and 29 will be Mrs. Park, Mrs. Edward Gibson and Mrs. David Hodgin. Holds Meeting The Fine Arts Department of the Worthwhile Woman's Club met on Thursday evening, April 20th in the Adult Assembly room of the Methodist Church. Mrs. E. M. Luttrell conducted a brief business session, and intro duced the guests. Miss Elizabeth Greer, honor guest and winner of. the District Music Contest held recently in Lenoir, sang' a solo to open the program. She gave a beautiful rendition of "Consider the Lilies", and was accompanied by Mrs. Richard Greer at the piano. They went to Raleigh on April 22nd, where Miss Greer sang in the State Coatest, sponsored by the Federation of Women's Clubs. Miss Faye Miller, winner of the local art contest, was alao an hon or guest of the club. She and Miss Greer were presented cash awards by the club, in recognition of their achievements. Mrs. Orrus Sutton presented a splendid paper on "What is Good Musk?" closing with recordings to illustrate. Mrs. W. C. Greer was a guest. Hostesses were Mrs. John Hot to i and Mrs. Rom Adams, who served a dessert court* and coffee, following the program.
