The faculty for the summer session of 1983 will be made up of a strong uutkaa of t-egular faculty members from the col lege. It will be supplemented by visiting faculty members from other colleges and universities and educational agencies from North Carolina and other states. It is hoped that some of the visiting faculty members on the campus this summer will be able to return to the campus 1 Ww n celerate by attending college year round, to provide opportunities for re cent high school graduates to begin their college study earlier, to provide opportunities for undergraduate students from other colleges and universities to take courses here during the summer and transfer the credit back to their home institutions, and to provide a comprehensive graduate program for teachers and other educational workers. We will continue our tradi tional offering and provide graduate curricula leading to the Master of Arts degree with majors in elementary educa tion, the various subjects taught in high school, school adminis tration, guidance and counsel ing, audio-visual services, super vision, junior college teaching, library science, and reading. We will continue our efforts to offer some instruction in the newer media of instruction, in cluding programmed instruction and television teaching. We also hope to make some effort in the area of special education. We expect a combined total of registrations for the 1083 summer session to reach nearly 5,000 (there were nearly 4500 registrations during the 1982 summer session) and it is ex pected that our dormitories will be full. According to the present construction schedule, there will not be an additional dormitory on the campus until the summer session of 1964. It is expected that the student body of the 1963 summer session will be drawn from nearly fifty states and foreign countries. Definite plans have been made for an ideal climate and beauti ful scenery for the 1963 sum mer session. MteDek $6?5 Square-toed handsewns . . handsomely priced! Sleek, smart and ready to be lived in!
