You can help relieve this “tight money" condition by saving at your local savings and loan association. Sound too simple? Not at all! You see, on the average, 98 cents out of every dollar saved at a sav ings and loan association in North Carolina is put to work in your community. It provides jobs for Realtors, home builders, plumbers, carpenters, masons, electricians, landscape gardeners, retail merchants-just about everybody. These people, in turn, buy groceries, clothing, contribute to your local tax dollars, churches and United Fund which starts the cycle all over again. Sound simple? It is-because we control our own economy. The way to ease the “tight money" market in North Carolina and the way to provide for new homes, more jobs and more purchases in our local stores is to save at your local savings and loan associations.
