Vows Are Said
The First Presbyterian
Church of Zephyrhills, Fla.,
was the scene of the marriage
of Miss Mary Francis Merrin,
daughter of the Rev. and Mrs.
James F. Merrin, and John
Herschel Tribble, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Jack H. Tribble of
Boone.
The ceremony took place
Nov. 26. The sanctuary was
decorated with floor standards
of white fall flowers. Mrs. Ray
Sisco, organist, provided a pro
gram of nuptial music, and
Mrs. John Conally was vocalist.
The bride was given in
marriage by her father who
also completed the service
after the bethrothal ceremony
conducted by the Rev. Eu
gene Kirkman of Winston
Salem. The bride’s dress was
a floor-length model of im
ported lace over peau de soie.
Her veil fell from a small
pill box of matching lace and
she carried a bouquet of white
camellias and fern.
The maid of honor was Miss
Virginia Simmons of Jackson
ville, Fla., niece of the bride.
The bride’s matron was Mrs.
Edward David Foster of Nor
folk, Va., sister of the groom.
The attendants' dresses were
of deep avacado satin with
overlays of lace. Their flowers
were chrysanthemums of car
nations in shades of gold and
bronze.
Mr. Tribble had as his best
man his father.
Groomsmen were Lt. Ed
ward Kester, USN of Norfolk,
and Dr. Kay Marvin Eoff of
Gainesville, Fla.
At the conclusion of the
ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Trib
ble greeted friends. Later, a
wedding breakfast was given
by the parents of the bride for
the wedding party and out-of
town guests.
