THE DOE RIDGE BAPTIST CHURCH, which was founded in 1894, will move its congregation
from this building to a new complex in the near future. Howard Lawrence and his son, Gerald,
are constructing the $13,000 building to be occupied by a congregation of 85 resident members.
The roll also has some 30 non-resident members. The new church will seat 200 and provide
four Sunday school rooms and Deacons say that lack of space for classes was a prime con
sideration in launching a building program.
