MONTHLY MEETINGS MONDAY
The four circles of the Woman’s
Missionary Society of the Baptist
Church held their regular mo thly
business meetings on Monday after
noon at 4 o’clock.
The R. T. Bryan Circle, of which
Mrs. J. Frank White is leader, met
at the home of Mrs. H. B. Jone 3 on
East Queen street with 11 members
present. All matters of old and new
business were brought up for discus
sion and disposed of by those pres
ent, who included: Mesdames J.
Frank White, John M. Harrell, O. C.
Davis, Cecil Byrum, Cam Byrum,
Mollie Privott, J. C. Leary, N. J. Hol
lowell, W. S. Perry, J. H. Dail and
H. B. Jones.
The Pearl Johnson Circle, whose
leader is Mr 3. Jordan Yates, met
with Mrs. S. E. Morris at her home
on the Virginia highway. There
were eight members and two visitors
present at this meeting. Routine
business was transacted, and those
present were: Mesdames Jordan
Yates, J. J. Long, W. T. Satterfield,
E. J. Griffin, J. W. Skiles, S. E.
Morris, Walter White and L. D.
Bond. Visitors were Mr 3. Edna
White and Mrs. Smith.
The Sophia Laneau Circle, led by
Mrs. J. Frank Miller and Mrs. C.
T. Hollowell, met at the home of
Mrs. R. W. Boyce on West Church
street with ten members present. All
necessary items of old and new busi
ness were attended to by the mem-'
bership, which included: Mesdames
R. W. Boyce, W. S. Privott, J. C.
Dail, H. E. Williams, P. H. Bel', C.
T. Hollowell, J. H. Haskett, J. R.
Wheeler, C. T. Doughtie and T. J.
Etheridge.
The McMillan Circle, whose leaders
are Mrs. A. T. Bush and Mrs. Mary
Ward, met with Mrs. T. E. Harrell
at her home near Edenton. There
were eight members present at this
meeting, when routine business was
disposed of by the circle. Those

Baptist Church held its regular
monthly meeting on Tuesday evening
at 8 o’clock at the home of Mrs. J.
C. Dail on Oakum street.
