Bible Class Meets With Mrs. Stallings The Young Woman’s Bible Class •of the Edenton Baptist Sunday School met Tuesday evening with Mrs. L. W. Stallings at her home in North Edenton. The president, Mrs. Shel f ton M&r«, opened, the meeting, and "Silent Night” was sung by the class. Mrs. W. C.-Bunch offered prayer, and / the secretary called the roll. The .minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mrs. W. E. Baker offered prayer, and Mrs. E. J. Griffin presented the lesson for the evening. The following officers were elected for the ensuing six months: Presi dent, Mrs. Jordan Yates; Ist vice president, Mrs. W. M. Wilkins; 2nd vice president, Mrs. Annie Elliott; 3rd vice president, Mrs. Lewis Boswell; .secretary, Mrs. Willie White; treas urer, Mrs. Willie Morris. An invitation to meet with Mrs. D. M. Carter in January was accepted, and Mrs. Chas. T. Hollowell offered prayer at the close of the business session. During the social hour the hostess es: Mrs. C. N. Griffin, Mrs. W. A. Sexton, Mrs. Antone Davenport, Mrs. J. J. Parker and Mrs. Worth Layton servedb lock ice cream and cakes. The following guests were present: Mrs. W. E. Miss Ella Mae Nixon, of Burling ton, spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Nixon. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown, of Bethel, spent Thurs day with Mr. and Mrs. Nixon. Rev. R. E. Walston, of Center Hill, was the supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. Z. W. Evans Saturday evening. Miss Arlene Jackson, of Edenton, spent Saturday with Miss Marguerite Etta Asbell. S. R. Burch and two friends from Baltimore, Md., spent the holidays with John and Will Bunch. Miss Marian Fiske’s mother is quite ill, so she could not return to school after the Thanksgiving holi days.
