Ryland Club Holds December Meeting The December meeting of the Ry land Woman’s Club, which was in the form of a Christmas party, was held Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs.' Roy Parks, with Miss Gertrude Jackson, Mrs. T. L. Ward and Miss Elizabeth Eason being joint host esses. Mrs. T. L. Ward presided over the meeting. Following the reading of several verses of Scripture by ; Miss Rebecca Colwell, Home Agent, a short business session was held, after which the meeting was turned over to the program committee. An excel lent program, interspersed with [Christmas carols sung by the gath ering, was much enjoyed. The fea ture of the afternoon being a three part poem by. three little girls, Sarah Jane Boyce, Mary Ellen Parks and Lelia Faye Ward. Distribution of Christmas presents was followed by the serving of dainty refreshments. The guests included: Mrs. H. H. Lane, Mrs. Harriett Parks, Mrs. C. C. Copeland, Mrs. Julian Ward, Miss Rella Spivey, Mrs. J. H. Layden, Miss Rebecca Colwell, Miss Ronella Ward, Miss Gertrude Jackson, Mrs. D. T. Ward, Miss Grace Hollowell, Mrs. T L. Ward, Miss Evelyn Jordan, Miss Minerva Ward, Mrs. Mollie Ward. Mrs. Roy Parks, Mrs. R. S. Ward, Miss Mary Lee Davis, Mrs. G. A. Dime Society Enjoys Vanishing Parties The Dime Society of the Baptist Church is at present putting on a series of vanishing parties, which are proving quite a success both socially and financially. The plan is as fol lows: The leader invites eight friends to her home, where they are enter tained ejther with music, knitting, crocheting or games played.
