He is reported to be getting on nicely. Mrs. F. D. Sawyer, of Waynesville, came Tuesday to visit Mrs. Mary E. Ward and Miss Nannie Ward, on West Queen Street. Mrs. T. B. Williford is spending the week at Virginia Beach, Va. Miss Neva Gan Roper and her house-guest, Miss Spruill, of Cheraw, S. C., will spend the week-end at Nags Head. Mrs. Millard Bond has gone to Nags Head, where she will spend the remainder of the summer. Misses Margaret Alexander and Verna Cayton spent Sunday visiting friends at Columbia. Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Phthisic and children visited relatives at Ry land Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Sidney Bul lock, of Goldsboro, are guests of Mrs. Bullock’s sister, Mrs. Wood Privott, and Mr. Privott, on North Broad Street. Mr. and Mrs. Bullock are on their return from a wedding tour spent in Europe. Mrs. D. T. Ward, of Ryland, was in Edenton Wednesday morning. Miss Fannie Hobowsky returned Tuesday after spending the past three weeks in Harrisburg, Pa. Miss Mollie Michlovitz, of Harris burg, Pa., is the guest of Misses Fannie and Esther Hobowsky. R. S. Ward, of Ryland, was in Edenton Wednesday on business. John Moore will go to Nags Head Sunday to spend a week. Miss Eleanor Small will leave to day for Cape Charles, Va., to visit Miss Mary Moore Hall. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. White and son, Ernest, visited Mr. White's mother, Mrs. Sne White, at Gliden, Sunday. They also visited Mrs. White’s pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Parrish, at Oak Grove. Charles Wales has gone to Nags Head for two weeks. Miss Kathryn Holmes spent Mon day at Nags Head. Mrs. Walter Jones and little daughter, of Fayetteville, are visit ing Mrs. Jones’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Long. Leslie Morgan has returned from Ocean View, Va., where he spent the past two weeks.
