No company, or organization, which has contributed its efforts and energy toward making pos
sible vehicular transportation from U. S. Highway 17 to U. S. Highway 64, thus shortening the dis
tance by approximately 70 miles, takes greater pleasure in congratulating the fine people of the

Now you are neighbors... a wonderful bridge, three and
one-half miles across water, with a modern hard surface
highway, from the bridge to both U. S. 17 and 64. That
was our job. We congratulate the progressive people of
all the Albemarle. The development of their bountiful
store of resources created by mother nature has only be
gun, and it is with much pleasure that we have been priv
ileged to have had a part in creating, and help build this
wonderful piece of highway that Will mean so much to
