I IREDELL FLORIST 1 EDENTON, N. C. Phones: Day 241-J. Night 197-i Along Life's Way By WILBORNE HARRELL i » i ,i / THEY SAW A STAR Wise men came to Bethlehem from afar Led on by His bright star, And still men grope with faith into the night Led by the selfsame light. The new-born Babe gave cry that upward rose And onward yet echoes, The candle glow that limned the Babe in soft Shadows now flames aloft. They saw a star who heard the angel band Give peace, good will to man, And wise men speed into the East and bring Rich gifts unto a King. Upon a fainting world the infant cry Fell like a gentle sigh, And the tender manger-light has come to rest Oh weary souls sore pressed. ! They saw a star who faced the east with hope, The crest from life’s steep slope; When westerning sails put out across the bar, Men say they saw a star. Town Council Proceedings Edenton, N.
