The Edenton High School Band is host to the All Star Band group and a most enjoyable occasion is antici pated by all who visit Edenton on May 23rd. WARDS CLUB MEETS Wards Home Demonstration Club met on May Ist, with Miss Donnie Ward. After singing, the president led the opening exercise. The secre tary being absent, Mrs. C. A. Perry called the roll and read the minutes. The club welcomed three new mem bers, Mrs. L. E. Twine, Miss Helen Twine and Mrs. Elton Ward. Mrs. 0. M. Blanchard and IMrs. C. A. White gave a report of the last council meeting. Several items of business were discussed. Miss Inez Perry gave an interesting demonstra tion in making yeast bread. The hostess, assisted by Mrs. J. D. Ward and Miss Lavelle Ward, served delicious ice cream and cake. COLERAIN BOOK CLUB MEETS The Colerain Book Club met Thurs day evening with Miss Helen Phelps. Bridge was played with the following making up the tables: Mrs. L. A. Perry, Mrs. Frank McCrery, Mrs. J. O. White, Mrs. M. H. White, Mrs. H. O. White, Mrs. C. S. Credle, Mrs. E. L. Stokes, Mrs. J. L. Parker and Miss Phelps. Mrs. Frank McCrery was awarded high score prize. The hostess served dainty refresh ments.
