RESOLUTIONS of respect As the shades of evening were gathering in the west, Mrs. Frances Roulhac Badham Warren, the widow of William Young Warren, departed this life on Saturday, January the eighteenth, nineteen hundred and forty-one. Mrs. Warren was born in Edenton, North Carolina, in eighteen hundred and forty-nine, the daughter of Wil liam Badham and Mary Britt Bad ham. She was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Church, where her an cesters had worshipped for genera tions past. For several years Mrs. Warren had been an invalid and dur ing this period of time, the loving care and attention given her by her surviving children, Misses May and Lethe Warren, Dr. J. W. Warren and Julian K. Warren, was a testi monial of the rarest love and devo tion which existed between this mother and her children. A gentle woman of rare charm and keen in telligence, her bright, winsome ways brought joy, love and laughter to her wide circle of devoted friends and relatives, and left their mark as threads of gold from the pattern of her joyous and deeply spiritual nature. I cannot say, and -I will not say That she is dead. She is just away. With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand She has wandered into an unknown land. And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since she lingers there. And you, oh you, who the wildest yearn For the old-time step and the glad return Think of her faring on, as dear In the love of There, as the love of Here. Think of her still as the same, I say, She is not dead, she is just away. The Woman’s Auxiliary of St. Paul’s Parish extends to Mrs. War ren’s family its deepest sympathy and desires that a copy of this tri bute be sent to her family, to the Mission Herald, and recorded in its minutes.
