PAGE TWO Dimer Meetings Feature Os College 50th Anniversary Edenton Is Selected as Place of Meeting For Ten Counties Plans for a series of district dinner meetings as a phase of the alumnae program in celebration during 1941- 42 of the 50th anniversary of Wom an’s College of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, have been announced by Miss Rachel Clif ford, secretary of the 50th anniver sary committee, who was appointed by that group to arrange the meet ings. , The alumnae program, one of four major emphases of the anniversary year, will be launched with a Found ers Day conference at the college Saturday, October 4, and the district meetings, 16 in North Carolina and four out of state, will be held be tween that time and the mid-yeai business meeting of the Alumnae association next February. District dinner meetings and the commence ment celebration are designed to reach the more than 20,000 alumnae and former students of the college, inspire them with the record of the past and unite them in active goals for strengthening the college to meet the needs of young womanhood in the uncertain future. Dr. W. C. Dates will be arranged as rapidly as possibly, suiting Dr. Jackson’s sche dule and events in the districts. De tails of the district dinners will be worked out at the Founders Day conference at the college of the local anniversary committees.
