During the month there j were 14 colored births reported, com pared with 8 white births. Deaths ‘ [ among the colored race also led dur ing the month with six as against three white deaths. , Duriftg the month two white still births were reported. ! Wilkins has been critically ill and is now a patient at the Chow ian Hospital. Mr. Wilkins entered the hospital Wednesday of last week .and later it was necessary to ad minister a blood transfusion and he was placed under an oxygen tent.
