The Sluggers won a hard fought game Friday night from the Williamston Bears 8-6. The locals played good ball back of Brickhouse, who went the entire route on the mound for the Sluggers. Another thrilling game was won Sunday afternoon on Hicks Field, PAGE FIVE when the Sluggers won 10-9 in a 13- inning contest Kith the Hertford Tigers. Collins started on the mound but was replated by Brickhouse in the fifth. The Sluggers are scheduled to play a game on Hicks Field tonight (Thursday) at 8 o'clock, but on Tuesday the opposing team had not been selected. Most of our fortunes are more sup portable than the comments of our friends upon them. r—■C. C. Colton.
