Goodwin Farm Near
Edenton
Farmers in Chowan and adjoining
counties are invited to attend a free
demonstration of the new Farmall
Cub tractor, which is scheduled to
be hel<j Friday, September 12, at 2:30
o’clock on the Goodwin farm at the
junction of U. S. Highway 17 and
the old Hertford road about a mile
north of Edenton. The demonstra
tion is sponsored by Byrum Imple
ment & Truck Company, who invite
all farmers to see for themselves the
practical uses of the Farmall Cub
Tractor which will be shown during
the demonstration.
“Operators of small farm acreages,
preferably of 40 crop acres or less,”
says Haywood Bunch, manager of
the Byrum Implement &- Truck Com
pany, “at long last are being pro
vided with a new, small, all-purpose
tractor that will give them practical,
economical and complete mechaniza
tion at a price within range of the
average farmer’s pocketbook.”

school as well as the commencement
exercises.
W. E. Ambrose Dies
At N. C. Sanatorium
W. E. Ambrose, 39, died at the
Eastern North Carolina Sanatorium
at Wilson Thursday morning of last
week after three years of declining
health. Deceased was a native of
Washington County and was a farm
er in Chowan County for the past
