CHOWAN HIGH SCHOOL NEWS The Senior Class of Chowan High School entertained the Chowan Ruri tan Club Thursday, December 11, the affair being ladies’ night. A very in teresting program was presented. Two members of the Senior Class went to Norfolk to see the Freedom Train. ( The members of the Senior Class were entertained at a party Wednes day, December 3, at the home of Mrs. Tom Asbell. The affair was very en joyable. The Junior Class presented a 3-act play, “Under Western Skies,” Friday night, December 12,.in the school au ditorium. M. each Sunday, January 1 through March. Dr. Kyle M. Yates ' of Houston, Texas, opens the series on January 4th with the subject ‘ “Faith For Forty-eight.” Dr. Yates, pastor of the Second Baptist Church, 5 Houston, will also be heard on suc -1 ceeding Sundays in January on “Love—God to Man,” “Repentance— -5 Man to God” and “Justice —Man to ■ Man.” Other speakers in the series will be ‘ Dr. Casper C. Warren, Charlotte, N. C.; Prof. Charles Wellborn, Waco, Texas, and Dr. Ted F. Adams, Rich -7 mond, Va., who will be heard in Feb ruary, and Dr. Duke K. McCall, Nash ville, Tenn., who speaks in March.
