PAGE TWO 111 Motor Registrations Hit An Afl-Time High During The Year 1947 £83,498 Vehicles Regis tered, According to Report North Carolina motor vehicle reg istrations in 1947 reached an all-time high' of 883,498, the Motor Vehicle Department has announced. This comparts with 779,930 vehicles reg istered in 1946. The 1947 registrations included 859,037 automobiles, trucks, trailers, motorcycles, motorbikes and 24,461 State Highway and dealers’ vehicles., Guilford County, with 46,755 ve hicles, is credited with having more vehicles than any other county. Meck lenburg, however, runs a close second with 45,944 vehicles. Next in line is Forsyth with 32,253; Wake, with 31,535, and Buncombe, with 26,740.
