CRAWFORD CHIROPRACTIC PHYRICIAN NEURITIS NEURITIS is a painful disease in which there is inflammation of one or more nerves. Some times the condition begins with fever, but usually with numbness, ipain and weakness in the parts af ifected. These parts are commonly the arms and legs. As the disease I gets worse the symptoms increase, so ithat the patient cannot walk. Some : times paralysis develops. The cause | of this disease lies in the spine where |a misaligned vertebra is producing! pressure on a nerve supplying the af fected part of the body. The pres-! sure here causes inflammation and, | excessive heat. As a result of the heat, blood vessels become swollen land the fluid portion of the blood fil ters into the nerves. This prevents the nerves from performing their work properly and is the cause of the various nerve symptoms, such as numbness, pain, muscular paralysis, burning sensation. If this condition of (he nerve is allowed to continue. ... - :■ - along said line to first station, con taining 10 acres more ot leas, and known as part of the Isaiah Bunch tract; the piece of land that is now wired and fenced up for graveyard is not sold, nor conveyed in this deed, being about 1/5 acre, and the right to use straw from said land'as long as it remains woods is reserved untp W. Boyce’s line on Ferry Road, thence Westwardly 100 yards along said road to iron stob, thence Southwardly to run of swamp, thence Eastwardly along said swanro • to W. O. Boyce line, thence North wardly along said Boyce’s line to first station, containing 10 acres more or less, and known as a part of the Isaiah Bunch land, being the same real estate conveyed to W. C. Jordan by W. N. Ward and wife, by deed dated April 20, 1925, and recorded in Book P, page 468, in the office of the Register of Deeds of Chowan County, I n. c. Dated and, pasted this 12th day of April, 1948. J. N. PRUDEN, 1Apr15,22,29,May6,13 Commissioner. certain changes take place in the nerve itself to make the paralysis per manent, because these changes are in the nature of a replacement of the nerve tissue with a harder tissue which cannot do the work of a nerve tissue. All that is necessary to pre vent these hurtful changes from tak ing place is to take out the inflamma tion. Chiropractors are trained to locate the vertebra which is choking the j spinal nerves and to adjust it to re ■ lease the pressure. As soon as this ! is done the inflammation subsides and l the fluids which have filtered into the nerve substance are absorbed. The nerve again does its work. The symp toms will then be quickly removed and health will be restored. Many people have milder forms of neuritis and feel pains in different parts of the body. To those I would say, give Chiropractic a chance to restore your health, and you will again have a zest for living.
