Edentoii Students : Tour Wliamsburg 2& Boys and Girls Enjoy Trip Wednesday of Last Week Twenty-eight Edenton High School students on Wednesday of last week toured Williamsburg, Va., one time colonial capital city that. has been restored to its appearance of the 18th century by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. The students were given a special escorted tour of several of the build ings that have been restored or re constructed to the way they looked, two centuries ago and saw the set ting in which many -significant acts in the struggle for independence took place. Referred to by educators as a “living laboratory” of early American history, Williamsburg is annually vis ited by more -than a half million per sons. Mrs. Blannie Copeland ]Dies After Brief Illness Mrs. Blannie R. Copeland, 36, died in the Chowan Hospital at 7 o’clock Wednesday night of last week after an illness of 11 weeks. Beside her husband, Richard C. Copeland, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. J. P. Byrum; two sons, Richard C., Jr., and Jesse Harold; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Hollowell of Corapeake, and three brothers, Willie J. Byrum and Alma Byrum, both of Tyner, and Edward Byrum of Portsmouth.
