PAGE TWO Dixie 17 Liainj In Corn Demonstration J Paul Ober’s Com, How ever, Making Good Showing Dixie 17 seems to be leading in ap pearance and favor in Chowan Coun ty’s corn demonstrations, according to comments made by observing farm ers. N. C- 27 is a very* close second and may eventually become first. Both are earing very nicely while Dixie 17 appears to be setting slight ly more ears, many stalks with 3 and 4 ears. Paul Ober’s open pollinated com in his own field in Rocky Hock looks about equal to Dixie 17 in'many other fields. Mr. Ober does not have Dixie 17 on his farm for comparison.
