Support Prices For Peanuts Released J. M. Price Reminds Pro ducers ofCCC 1948 Program J. M. Price, secretary of the Cho wan Agricultural Conservation Asso ciation, announced this week that the support price for farmers’ stock pea nuts grading 65 per cent sound ma ture kernels is $207 per ton, or 10.35 cents per pound. This is the hase grade and price. Peanuts grading better than 65 per cent are supported at a price above * $207 per ton and grades lower than 65 per cent are supported at a price under $207 per ton. Organization Formed For CROP Campaign (Continued' from Page One) to the fact that the farmers of Cho wan County would be able to contri bute peanuts, soybeans and com, pri marily, although any other crops and garden produce put up in tin cans , will be acceptable. Farm products contributed through out the State will be picked up at the farms on December 12 and hauled to a shipping center.
