By Sales
With this week being observed as
clean-up week, sponsored by the Eden
ton Junior Chamber of Commerce,
brooms will be on sale Saturday in an
! effort to secure funds for the benefit
of the Edenton Band.
On 'Saturday the brooms will be on
sale in front of Byrum Hardware
Company, Leggett and Davis and
Mitchener’s Pharmacy, and those in
charge of the sale, say brooms will be
‘ i delivered to purchasers anywhere in
i Edenton.
Homes will be canvassed to sell the
. brooms, and the band members will al
so aid in helping to snake sales during
the day. It was pointed out that the
brooms are very good, and, though
they will be sold for one dollar, they
are regularly priced higher.
Jaycees and Mayor Haskett are
hopeful that citizens* in general will
join in the clean-up spirit, even if no
brooms are needed, but they point out
that by buying a broom, the band will
materially benefit.
