Ashley .Revival Preacher At Rocky Hock Church Services Will Begin on Sunday and Last En tire Week Next Sunday, August 28, a week's revival will begin in the Rocky Hock Baptist Church, With services sche duled to be held each afternoon at 3 o’clock and 8 o’clock at night. Preaching for the services will be the Rev. George Norman Ashley, a native of Chowan County, but now pastor of the Baptist Church at Salemburg, N. C. W. J. Daniels of Edenton will be in charge of the singing for the revival. The meeting will continue through Sunday, September 4, and the public is cordially invited to attend all ser vices. University of North Carolina, East Carolina Teach ers College and the University of North Carolina. In 1927-28, she taught English and French in the Canton High School; English and French in the Clinton High School 1928-29; seventh grade English in the Elizabeth City School 1929-36; Eng lish and French in the Pinehurst High School 1936-39, and since 1939 she has been doing substitute work in English and French in the Norfolk Junior and Senior High Schools. Mrs. Kramer was employed upon very high recommendations by competent school officials and laymen. Mrs. Frederick J. Floyd replaces Mrs. Margaret L. Smithson, resigned, in the seventh grade. She is a gradu ate of East Carolina Teachers College and taught the fifth grade in the Bamesville School from 1939-44; and the seventh grade in the South Robe son School from 1944-47.
