PAGE TEN Burglar Breaks In R. B. Hollowed Home Fortunate In Making Escape Without Load Os Lead Fortunately dome man is alive to day, for which he can thank Raleigh Hollowell, who hesitated to shoot him in the head at his home about 4 o’- clock Monday morning. At about that hour Mr. Hollowell was awakened and as he started from his room to the bathroom he saw the figure of a large man in the hall downstairs, who had gained entrance through a window. Mr. Hollowell immediately stepped back in his room and secured a rifle, but upon his return he saw the intrud er poke his head from behind a wall and later was crawling head first in Mr. Hollowell’s direction. Mr. Hollo well could have easily shot the man in the head, but instead, not knowing if he was armed or what his intentions were, called to neighbors to contact the police. Before the police arrived, however, the man disappeared, and no trace of him has been found. It is believed there was also an accomplice who held the window open. Edenton BPW Club Meets At Triangle Many Matters Consider ed at Meeting Fri day Night Members of the Edenton Business and Professionals Women’s Club held a very pleasant meeting in the Tri angle dining room Friday night, when many matters were considered. The president, Mrs. Corie White presided over the meeting. One of the items discussed was the purchase of chairs for the club’s meeting room at Joseph Hewes Hotel. Mrs. Josie Ruth Carr called atten tion to the observance of BPW Week October 9 to 15, mentioning several features planned in connection with the event.
