The wild turkey season will also be open through January 31 with the bag limit allowing one per day, two in pos session and three per season. Open season for rabbits extends through January 31 with a bag limit of seven per day, 14 in possession and no limit for the season. Mr. Evans also calls attention to the requirement by law to make a declaration of game animals or birds held in houses or refrigerated com partments during the closed season. Blanks must be filled out which speci fy the number of pieces or parts of game held in storage, as well as the place where it is stored. These blanks can be secured at freezer locker plants or from Evans at his home. C., THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 1949. Chowan Club Plans < For Christmas Party The Chowan Home Demonstration Club met Monday afternoon, Novem ber 14, at the Community House at Small’s Cross Roads. The meeting opened with the club members singing “We Believe In Our i State,” and repeating the club col lect. Roll was called with 14 present. The minutes were read and approved, business discussed and the report of ; the treasurer given. Arrangements were made for the club’s Christmas party to be held De cember 12 at 6:30 o’clock, with every one asked to take a picnic supper and a gift, valued at not over 25 cent 3, for each member of the family that plans to go. Plans were, also discuss ed for the Rose’s supper to be given Wednesday night, December 14, at the Community House. * Mrs. Emmett Elliott gave a dem onstration on “Slick Tricks With Chickens.” ' Miss Rebecca Colwell gave a brief talk about the importance of the mo bile tuberculosis X-ray.
