Juniors Give Comedy Friday Night “The Case of the Missing Heirs” Will Be Staged At 8 O’clock Members of the Junior Class at Chowan High School under the direc tion of Miss Louise Wilson, will pre sent, “The Case of the Missing Heirs,” Friday night, March 3, at 8 o’clock in the high school auditorium. “The Case of the Missing Heirs,” is a mystery, intermingled with fast moving comedy. Throughout the play there is an air of mysterious surround-" ings and impending action. Ten people have gathered in the wind-swept, gloomy castle, Wenty, high on a rocky ledge in itdie Allegheny . Mountains, to hear the t reading of the will of August Wentz. The heirs be gin to disappear, and those left are shocked by strange sounds, and the mysterious phantoms with burning hands who haunts the room where the heirs must stay. Perriot Preston and his secretary, Gwen, solve “The Case of the Missing Heirs” to everyone’s satisfaction. The characters are: Perriot Pres ton, a mystery writer, Malcolm Cope land; Gwen Talbot, his secretary, Ar lene Harrell; Bruiser Barnes, Pres ton’s body guard, Thomas Davenport; Mrs. Allerdyce Beeman, a widow of fifty, Ruth Boyce; Maybelle Beeman, her daughter, Rita Hollowell; Louise Thomas, a secretary, Bobby Cole Bate man; Mrs. Kite, the housekeeper, Dor is Jean Nixon; Wentworth, the but ler, George Ashley; the Phantom, Gerald Layden; J. Winston Graham, the lawyer, Rosser Bunch. The public is cordially invited to attend. Plans Going Forward For Cooking School With a cooking school scheduled to be held in the high school auditorium March 30 and 31, members of the Edenton Tea Party Chapter, Daugh ters of the American Revolution, are busily engaged in making preliminary arrangements for the school. Though still some distance away, the ladies are hoping many -women iwill make plans to attend. INTER-CITY ROTARY MEETING WITH AHOSKIE CLUB TONIGHT Quite a few Edenton Rotarians will go to Ahoekie tonight (Thursday) to attend an inter-city Rotary meeting.
