Local Group Hears Great Ineohonee Talk Red Men and Pocahon tas Attend Elizabeth ■< City Meeting William E. Farrenkopf, Great Inco honee of the United States, highest, officer of the Improved Order of Red, Men, visited North Carolina tribes and councils of 'Pocahontas at a special meeting held in the Red Men’s hall in Elizabeth City Friday night. Two hundred members of the IORM and Degree of Pocahontas attended the meeting, which was the climax of a statewide membership drive. Williamston Harvest Festival Oct. 17-18 Describing Williamston’s Third An nual Harvest Festival in an interview, A1 Sweatt, manager of the Williamston Boosters, stated that “It’s to be more fun than a circus!” The annual event will get underway on Tuesday, Octo ber 17 and will continue through Wednesday, October 18. On Wednesday a big parade will be held at 2 o’clock. Entered in the parade will be the Williamston Motor cycle Club, the Boy and Cub Scouts, 1 the local unit of the National Guard with a good portion of their equip ment, many floats, the Rhythm Band from Farm Life, high school bands from 'Edenton, Roper, Tarboro, Scot land Neck, Washington, Williamston white and Williamston colored.
