The Rev. Fred A. • Bobbitt of Nor folk, Va., uncle of the (bride, and Dr. Broadus E. Jones, pastor of the church, were the officiating ministers. Dr. Harry Cooper, church organist, grayed the traditional wedding march es, and Miss Jennie ! Lee Bradford of Suffolk, Va., classmate off the bride at Hollins College, sang. Psalms and cathedral candles were 'used at the altar. The bride, (who was given in marri age by her father, (wore a wedding gown of old ivory with off-the-should er neckline trimmed with a Ibertha of antique duchess and rose point lace. Her fuR skirt extended into a long circular train. Her veil off old ivory illusion was trimmed with antique duchess lace, and it extended the full length of 'the train. ' The bride carried a cascade of lillies of the valley, fleur d’amour, and white phaleanopsis or chids, and large cream-colored hybrid ‘ cactelya orchids tied with ivory color ed satin ribbons and streamers. Miss Nancy Bobbitt was her sister’s maid of honor. She wore a deep aqua satin dress fashioned with a fitted bo i dice and a full skirt and Carried a cas cade bouquet of burgundy, Iwine, and pink snapdragons and briarcliff roses centered with a large ffucia colored hybrid orchid, and tied (with butterfly bows and streamers off rainbow color ed satin ribbons. The brim of her small aqua satin hat had a miniature cluster of flowers matching the bou quet. The bridesmaids were Miss Lillian I Dewar off Raleigh, Miss Betty Dixon of Suffolk, Va., cousin of the bride groom, Mrs. IWilliam M. Ragland of Charlottesville, Va., Mrs. E. K. Powe, of Durham, Mrs. Donald Scott, Jr., of Graham, Mrs. iPinkney Rankin, Jr., of Gastonia, and Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Walter Williams, Jr., of Richmond, Va., Mrs. ICarl Roth off Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. (Wilson Buckner Armistead of Nashville, Tenn. Their dresses and hats were l ; ke the maid of honor’s arid they carried cas cade bouquets of briarcliff roses, bur gundy, wine orchid and pink snap-i drpgons tied with butterfly bows and streamers of pink and .wine colored satin ribbons. Miss Virginia Lou Thompson of Ra-i leigh, cousin of the bride, was a junior’ attendant. Her dress was a miniature of the 'bridemaids’ dresses, and she carried a small bouquet of pastel col ored flowers and sweetheart roses tied with narrow bows and streamers of rainbow colored satin ribbons. B. Degree from Hollins [ College in Roanoke, Va. She is an active member of the Raleigh Junior League, and she made her debut in 1946 at the Terpsichorean Ball in Ra leigh. v I The bridegroom attended Augusta Military (Academy in Fort Defiance, Va., and the University of North Caro lina in Chapel Hill. (He is a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, and is a veteran of World War 11. He is now co-owner of the Coastland Oil Company of Edenton.
