A Tri-County Rat and Mouse Con trol Campaign has been scheduled for Thursday, April 12, savs C. W. Over man, County Agent. Chowan, Bertie and Perquimans counties will co operate in this pest control venture. Two bait mixtures will be used: (1) a Red Squill mixture and (2) a War farin mixture. The Red Squill Mixture is the; same as used for several years.-This will be put up in three packages at SI.OO per package. This kills rats only. All of it must be put out atj once as it will not keep except when ! frozen. The Warfarin bait will be put up in j three-pound packages at SI.OO per package. This bait will kill both rats and mice. It must be fed over a per iod of fifteen days, as it kills gradual ly. It will not spoil. In Chowan County bait orders will be taken at the various stores and service stations where posters are dis played, also at the County Agent’s 1 office. Bait will be paid for when or ders are placed. 'Persons will be noti fied when and where to pick up their bait on Thursday afternoon, April 12. Rate and mice are very unsanitary and destructive peSts. The new War- < farin bait is tried and proven success-|i ful. This Red Squill bait has proven 1 successful for rats. Orders for bait, i should be placed by Thursday, Ajpril 6th.
