The marriage of Miss Rosa Juanita
Alexander, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Thomas Alexander of Edenton

r. and Mrs. Donald Bryon Campbell,
Sr., also of Edenton, took place Sun
day afternoon, July 12, at home. The
ceremony was performed by the Rev.
E. C. Alexander, uncle of the bride.
Miss Peggy Williams, niece of the
bride, presented the wedding music.
Given in marriage by her father, the
bride wore a two-piece suit of white
linen, trimmed in navy blue, with
white accessories and an orchid cor
sage.
The bride had as her matron of hon
or, and only attendant, her sister, Mrs.
Joseph R. Privott of Norfolk, Va. Ken
neth Campbell, brother of the bride
groom, was best man.
Immediately following the ceremony
the bride’s parents entertained at a re
ception, after which the couple left
for a short wedding trip. They will
make their home in Rhode Island,
where the bridegroom is currently sta
tioned with the Navy.
FIVE FIRES IN JUNE
Fire Chief R. K. Hall reports that
during June the Edenton firemen were
called out five times, four alarms be
ing in Edenton and one in the rural
section.
Total damage for the five fires, ac
cording to Mr'. Hall, was only $164.26.
