IMOGENE COCHRANE Home Demonstration Agent The Home Demonstration County Council will meet Thursday afternoon, September 17 at 2 o’clock in thfe Cho wan Community Building. Since Sep tember is Citizenship Month and Sep tember 17 is Constitution Day, a citi zenship program is being planned for the meeting by members of the Enter prise Club. There will be right much business to discuss, so it is most im portant that all officers and leaders attend the meeting. All other home demonstration members are also in vited to attend the meeting. County 4-H Picnic A county-wide 4-H Picnic Supper i will be held Friday evening at 5:30 at the Chowan Community Building. All 4-H Club members and their fami lies are invited to attend. Bring a pic nic supper and plan to join your I friends for plenty of good food and I recreation. Schedule: Thursday, September 10—Enter- I prise Club with Mrs. John F. Perry at I 2:30 o’clock. Mix in a quart bowl the biscuit mix and sugar. Stir in with fork a mixture of milk and water. Turn out on lightly floured board. Knead lightly 10 times, or until smooth. Roll Vi inch thick. Cut into 4 rounds with floured 3-inch cutter. Bake on ungreased baking sheet 10 minntes, or until brown. At serving rirna, put ice-cold milk and 4 teaspoons sugar Into small, cold bowL Whip with cold beater until fluffy. Add lemon rind and juice. Whip until stiff.
