Both Dean Colvard and Extension irector Weaver are members of the eneral Advisory Board of the Fair, hey are particularly proud of the xhibit space and .premium money al ►cated by Dr. J. S. Dorton, fair man ger, for the “Challenge Program” isplays which will compete for $2,- 50 n prizes in the exhibit concourse f the new State Fair Arena. The county progress displays, de leting the United Agricultural Pro ram being sponsored by the N. C. oard of Farm Organizations and .gencies, will be presented at the 953 State Fair by Henderson, Iredell, hatham, Duplin and Carteret coun es. The five counties were invited > exhibit on the basis of their ac implishments in the “Challenge Pro ram” and their organizational ach ivements. The State Fair is 100 years old this ear.
