Public Requested To Give Their Opinions On Mlkjrdinance Revised Ordinance Will Re Studied By Board Os Health Members of the District Board of Health will consider, at their next meeting, the problem of the 1953 re vised United States Public Health Service milk ordinance and code. The Board will welcome suggestions from the public whether or not they (the public)) would like grade “C” milk legally sold in this health dis trict. The Health Department feels that there is at present an adequate supply of Grade “A” pasteurized milk available. The ordinance can be pass ed with or without the grade “C” provision. Interested people should write or call the Health Office in their county giving their opinions. W.M. Rhoades New Master For Masons Elective and Appointed Officers Will Be In stalled Jan. 7 Members of Unanimity Lodge, No. 7, A. F., & A. M., at a meeting held Thursday night elected officers for the year 1954. W. M. Rhoades was elected master of the lodge, succeed ing C. T. Griffin. The other officers elected were: C. W. Overman, senior warden; Ernest Kehayes, junior war den; R. E. Leary, treasurer; Louis George Wilkins, secretary. W. M. Wilkins, whose term expired as a trustee, was re-elected for a three year term. The other two trustees are H. A. Campen and J. Edwin Buff lap. These newly-elected officers will be installed at a stated communication to be held Thursday night, January 7, when the officers appointed by the new master will also be installed. TAX COLLECTIONS Sheriff J. A. Bunch reported to the County Commissioners Monday morn ing that 1953 taxes collected during November amounted to $26,729.10. This figure brought total 1953 tax col lections to date to $60,874.53. George, a member of the Edenton Junior-Senior High School faculty, this week received his Master of Arts degree in education from the University of North Carolina.
