Celebrates Birthday
i
Members of the Edenton Kindergar
ten class had the time of their lives
Friday morning, when WilHard Scott
Privott celebrated his fifth birthday
bv entertaining his little friends at a
birthday party at the kindergarten
o'assroom in the Elementary School.
Scotty, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
William S. Privott, was the recipient
of many gifts.
The kindergarten classroom was
typical of any children’s playroom. |
j walls were literally lined with attrac
-1 tive drawings, paintings, what-nots, !
and all sorts of things that attract
small children. Each child had dis
played on his desk a favor on which I
was inscribed “happy birthday.”
Following a few games and lots of ,
excitement, Scotty blew out the can
dles on the cake and the children set
tled down for refreshments of ice
cream and cake served by Mrs. J. J.
Ross, Mrs. R. A. Tarkington and Mrs.
Privott.
Members of the class who enjoyed
the party were: Dianthia Sexton,
Anne Graham, Patty Peaehgr, Ker
mit Layton, Bill James, Nelly Wood,
Susan George, Linda Boneski, Scotty
Privott, Ellene Tarkington, Paula
Spruill, Jackie Mooney, Stevey Fer
guson, Pam Bennett, Greg Miller, Jim
Elliott, Bill Mitchener, Lee Nixon and
Martha Vaughan.
